My name is Dev, and I’m the owner and lead developer of Calgary Web Designs. My journey into programming started with a few friends who, like me, were frustrated by the lack of quality workout tracking apps. We decided to build our own—and in the process, we taught ourselves how to code and bring ideas to life through software.
After completing that project, I started looking more closely at the web development industry—and what I found was disappointing. So many companies were charging outrageous fees for so-called “custom” websites that were actually built using drag-and-drop page builders. These sites weren’t just overpriced—they lacked performance, design quality, and the ability to actually help businesses grow.
I began reaching out to small businesses directly and quickly saw a pattern: many didn’t have the budget to drop thousands upfront on a new website. Those who had spent the money were often left with slow, outdated designs that looked like they hadn’t been touched in a decade.
That’s why I created Calgary Web Designs and introduced our $0 down, $150/month model. It’s a fair, manageable option that gives small businesses access to high-quality, custom-coded websites—without breaking the bank.
